Martin Tremblay (guitar)
Trained as a luthier, it was during his teenage years that Martin Tremblay got interested in
guitar playing. At first inspired by rock music, he decided then to study jazz guitar at CÉGEP St-Laurent
(Junior College). Later he got attracted to manouche swing and founded his first group in that genre: the
Low band orchestra. Soon, he took part of Quintette Jazz Gitan, with Christine Tassan. After the breaking up
of the band, he founded with François Rousseau the Hot Club de Ma Rue as well as directing his own
quintet. He was driven to play with Patrick Saussois, Didier Dumoutier, Denis Chang, Chris Campion,
Emmanuel Kassimo, Annie Dominique, Tommy Gauthier, Guillaume Bouchard, Normand Guilbault,
Guillaume Bouque and delivered more than 500 live performances.

Josianne Laberge (violon)
Very active on the local and national scene for more than 10 years, Josianne Laberge is a
polyvalent musician, as well as a skilled teacher. She completed in 2002 classic violin studies with the
renowned Gyorgy Terebesi, at Université Laval, and showed later more interest in jazz and improvised
music. She founded the band Polémil Bazar with which she recorded 3 albums and performed more than
400 live concerts. She participated in numerous national and international tours, notably beside the
Manouche jazz icons Patrick Saussois, Lollo Meier and Andreas Oberg as well as collaborating in various
recordings. She played in many festivals, of which the Festival d’été de Québec, the Francofolies de
Montréal, the Montreal Jazz Festival and the Rimouski Jazz Festival. Josianne is also a composer and a
concept maker for theater; her projects include a variety of mixes between the different forms of arts. She
plays on a regular basis for Radio-Canada’s radio and is taking part in many ensembles.

Mathieu Deschenaux (Double-bass)
In 2003, Mathieu Deschenaux obtained a Bachelor’s degree in jazz double bass
performance from McGill University, since then, he played with many ensembles, notably with Gadji-Gadjo, Émilie Proulx,
Cercamon, the electro-pop band Eden106, with the actual music band BoboK, the Quatuor Carré, the Hot club de ma
rue, the Straight pipe Trio and Andrew Homzy. He also participated and signed the music for a few short
films (Romain et Juliette, Ampliation and Monstre) and theater pieces (Chroniques et Enlèvement,
Séquestration and Mise à mort d'un humoriste).

Olivier Pépin (rhythm guitar)
Olivier Pépin is involved in music since 20 years. He began his training with classic piano at
a young age, and then, was driven to guitar playing and composing. His vivid interest for music led him to
take part in many ensembles with different horizons such as Concorde Crash, Pedro Pedro, the Hot Club de
ma Rue, the Martin Tremblay Quintet, Laure Péré, Go Sumo, la Déchirure, Tony Mes. Thus, he participated
in the recording of 5 albums and played in more than 200 concerts. Furthermore, he had the opportunity to
compose music for production companies such as Télé sans Frontières and Productions Carne Média
